About BMRC and how you can help

British Motor Racing Circuits (BMRC) started life in 1995 as a site designed to raise awareness of the vast diversity of motor sport in the UK and beyond. It has always been written with the spectator in mind, though a large number of drivers, marshals and officials tell us they find it useful which is very satisfying.

Although we have spent untold hours developing the site over the years it is still not, and probably never will be, 'finished'. Too much changes too often for that state of nirvana to be reached.

We do rely on reader's communications with us, so do feel free to email with suggestions/complaints/corrections, but please see our email guidelines section further down this page.

If you are a fan of the site there are a number of practical and financial ways that you can help us keep going...

  • If you see any mistakes please let us know by email to errors@bmrc.co.uk.
  • If you are actively involved in a club or championship and the details we hold are missing or incomplete, please send some details to errata@bmrc.co.uk. Two or three paragraphs is quite sufficient.
  • If you attend meetings regularly why not consider submitting race reports. We would prefer you to use the online submission service. To use this click on "Submit news and reports" link on the MSPR page and follow the instructions. Alternatively you can you can email the report/press release to mspr@bmrc.co.uk.
  • If you are able why not make a contrubution via Paypal. Hardware does fail, software needs to be upgraded, ISP charges need to be paid. Any contribuition of £5 upwards will be gladly accepted and help us to keep going into the future.
  • If you are able, but don't like sending cash, why not buy Ken something from his Amazon wishlist so that he can persue his other hobbies. He does need to be dragged away from the PC sometimes!
  • Email guidelines

  • EMAIL FROM BMRC
  • BMRC rarely sends emails, and then only for the purposes of confirming the details we hold in our database.
  • We do not sell email addresses to anybody! We have been around for 12 years now and unfortunately our domain is well known to spammers who do use it.
  • If you get an email purporting to be from BMRC, treat it with caution.
  • Official BMRC e-mail will always be in plain text format, with a sensible title and almost certainly have no attachments or images (unless you have asked us to send you something).
  • IF IN DOUBT, CHUCK IT OUT!!
  • INCOMING BMRC EMAIL
  • If the recipient is not one of our published email addresses it goes in the bin.
  • If the title looks like it was written by a robot or does not explain clearly what the email is about ("Hi", "your site") it goes in the bin.
  • If there is an attachment (except from specific contacts) it goes in the bin.
  • Everything we 'know' is on the site. Please do not email asking if we know x, y or z because if we do know x, y or z it will already be on the site.
  • We love your emails, keep them coming, but we have to protect ourselves. Sorry.
  • Thanks for your interest
