How to get to Isle of Man
Ronaldsway airport is near Castletown in the south of the island, just 11 miles from the capital, Douglas. Manx Airlines operates flights from Belfast, Blackpool, Birmingham, Cardiff, Cork, Dublin, Glasgow, Jersey, Liverpool, London Heathrow, London Luton, Manchester, Newcastle and Southampton. Jersey European operate flights from Belfast and Blackpool. Knight Air operate services from Leeds/Bradford, Aberdeen and Southampton. Emerald Airways operate from Liverpool (Phone 0500 600 748).
Car and passenger ferry services operate into the capital, Douglas. The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company operate a fast SeaCat service from Belfast, Dublin, Fleetwood and Liverpool, and a standard ferry service from the same ports plus Heysham and Androssan in Scotland.
Once on the island everywhere is relatively close, but during the TT Festival and the Manx Grand Prix it can be difficult to get about because of the road closures. There is a TT access road in Douglas that gives access to the centre of the mountain course during these events.
