Basildon Retro 97
Visitor Information
Traffic and Car Parking
There are two main car parks which will be well sign-posted and will be open to the public from 9:30am.
The main car park is adjacent to the paddock area in Gloucester Park. There will be no exit from this car park untill after 4.00pm. The entrance fee is £2 per car.
Nicholas School car park hopefully will have a park and ride facility, but in any case it is only a short walk from Gloucester Park. The entrance fee is £1.50 per car.
If you are coming in a classic car special facilities will be made available for you in the main car park.
Official Retro 97 Programme
This will be on sale in the main car park and throughout the Gloucester Park area.
Paddock Entry
Entry into the Paddock is £2.50. Accompanied children under 12 years are free. All entry is at the discretion of the Paddock marshals.
Spectator Viewing
There is no charge to view the event and there is ample room for spectators around the circuit. In the area adjacent to the paddock there will be commentary over the public address system.
Rail Service
The nearest rail station is Basildon (from London Fenchurch Street). We are hoping buses will be available but it is only a short walk to Gloucester Park. Taxis are available close to the station.
PLEASE NOTE:
If you are coming by car you will find it advantageous to be in Basildon before 1.00pm
If you park your car in Gloucester Park you can not leave before 4.00pm
Absolutely no animals will be admitted to the Paddock
Retro 97 is not a commercial venture and after the expenses of staging the event
have been defrayed all proceeds will go to St. Martin's Church Bell Tower Appeal
